You will notice that the Yellow Calcite has unique translucent properties which allow any source of light to illuminate the piece.  Displaying this stone near a window or with another light source, whether from above, below or behind, will transform the look of this stone!  With the use of an artificial source of light at night, a sculpture in translucent calcite, or most any translucent stone for that matter, will become a sort of night light or beacon in any room.  It is simply spectacular!
